Summer Camp hours are 9 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday (unless otherwise noted).
Aftercare from 1 pm to 3:30 pm is available for an additional fee for Nursery and Grades 1 – 8 camps (Aftercare is not available for Early Childhood Camps)
Nursery Camp (ages 2-4)
Our play-based program follows healthy rhythms of the day and helps to foster the natural unfolding of a child’s capacity for socialization, connection, and independence. Our program with a healthy balance of indoor and outdoor activities awaits your child to splash in the puddles, dig in the mud, and dance in the sunshine.
Early Childhood Camps (Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten age group)
Waldorf Education celebrates the riches of a child’s imagination. In our Early Childhood camp, simplicity is key. Toys are crafted of natural materials and feature beautiful colors and textures to encourage, but not overstimulate, the senses. There is a rhythm each day. We are helping your child build a strong foundation from the ground up. A Waldorf Early Childhood classroom is a sanctuary honoring the notion that a child’s play is their truest work.
First Grade Welcoming Camp (for rising First Grade students only)
This is a special camp dedicated to incoming 1st Grade students, designed to pave the way for a smooth transition from the kinder world to the “grades” side of campus. New friends of WSOC are always welcome. We will explore our campus, enjoy daily walks, and celebrate knowing we are happy, healthy, and comfortable in this new space. Crafts will be created, play will be meaningful and friendships will be made!
